annual election "Nyong" (Man) and "None" (Woman) Manado..

International Kites Festival Jakarta 2007
21-22 July

This annual event always be participated by 10 countries from Asia and Europe and
25 kites clubs from 15 states of Indonesia.

This time they will show the traditional kites creation.
Many competion will be held in there, like Two and Three dimension Kites,
workshop for children, Kites exhibition,etc.

Musi Festival
Musi River, Palembang, South Sumatera
17-18 August

To celebrate Indonesia Independence Day on 17 August,
Palembang will celebrate this with unique way.
Many 'Kano' (little boat) will be decorated with animals shape and
with 40 people inside who will competion with another Kano in this river.
And beside that, there are art & culture exhibition.

Labuhan Ceremony

Parang Kusumo Beach, Merapi Mountain, Yogyakarta

In the same day with the King of Yogyakarta's birthday, the Labuhan ceremony
will be held in the Parang Kusumo Beach.
In the legend, they believe that they will give offering for the famous Queen of South Sea
'Nyi Roro Kidul' with sailing foods to the sea and also throw offering to the Merapi Mountain.

The Sport Soccer Star Comes to take holiday to Bali

English Soccer megastar David Beckham, accompanied by his wife Victoria and their three children, reportedly recently spent their holiday in Central Java and Bali.

Fresh from a Spanish League victory playing for Real Madrid and en-route to their new home in the Los Angeles where he will play for LA Galaxy, Beckham reportedly arrived by private jet in Yogyakarta on June 19th for a stay at the ultra-luxurious Amanjiwo resort near Borobudur Temple.

Managing to keep one step ahead of the press, the Beckham's later decamped and moved to Bali where they reportedly enjoyed a stay at the Amankila near Manggis, East Bali. Hotly pursued by paparazzi, the Beckham's moved to an undisclosed location to continue to enjoy their private Bali holiday.
